If somebody is on Plan A, we plan on billing up-front first and then charging monthly from the day they started the plan. Then, if they choose to move to Plan B, we charge the difference immediately and update their plan to Plan B using a new plan_sku identifier. When we do this, does the new recurring plan that they are on maintain their former 30 day billing schedule or will it start from the day they cancel? Ideally, we would like for our customers to stay on the same billing schedule. Any help would be appreciated. |

Any updates on this? We’re quite close to launch. Thank you. |

In cases such as yours, the billing cycle will restart to the day they were added to the plan. If you want to ensure that they charged on the same day, switch to plans that get run on the Xth day of the month. Because users can belong to multiple billing plans, you’ll also need to remove them from a plan, this can all be done through the same transaction that you add them to the 2nd plan.
